Steps to get a RoomVision camera showing up in your Pleneo Room.
Overview
If the camera isn't appearing in the system, the cause is almost always power or cabling, both run over the single LAN connection. Work through the checks below.
———————————————————————————————————————————————
Check the connection
Make sure the LAN cable is firmly connected to the camera. This one port handles both power and control.
———————————————————————————————————————————————
Confirm power
Verify the camera is connected to a switch that supports PoE. Without PoE, the camera won't power on or appear in the system.
If the switch's PoE budget is already fully used, try a different PoE-enabled switch or port.
———————————————————————————————————————————————
Try a different path
If power and cabling look correct, a loose cable, a faulty cable, or an unreliable switch port is the next most likely cause. Reseat the network cable, try a new Ethernet cable, and test a different switch port or another PoE switch.
———————————————————————————————————————————————
In summary
Once the camera has PoE power and a stable network connection, it appears automatically in Room OS. If it still doesn't show up, generate a diagnostic report and contact Pleneo Support.
