Resolve microphone discovery issues
Steps to get a ceiling microphone showing up in your Pleneo Room.
Overview
If a ceiling microphone isn't appearing in the system, it's almost always power, cabling, or firmware. Work through the checks below in order.
Check power
Confirm the microphone is powered on. No power means no discovery.
Check the cables
Make sure all required cables are connected. Some microphones need more than one cable, and a missing one can power the microphone without giving it a control connection, so it never appears in the system.
Tip: the Sennheiser TCC2 requires two LAN cables. Reseat each cable, and try a different cable if you can.

Update firmware
If you're using a Sennheiser microphone, make sure it's running current firmware. Older versions may prevent it from being discovered.
If used with Sonia
Use the correct port: connect the microphone to the Mic (PoE) port on the Sonia Amp. The other ports are for Sonia speakers and won't work
Confirm power: make sure the Sonia Amp is receiving PoE+ power. Standard PoE isn't enough, without PoE+, microphones won't be detected

Result
Once the microphone is powered, fully connected, and on the correct port, it appears automatically in Room OS. If it still doesn't show up, generate a diagnostic report and contact Pleneo Support.
