Steps to restore sound when a RoomDesign Ceiling speaker is silent.
Overview
If a RoomDesign Ceiling speaker isn't playing audio, the cause is usually a connection, power, or room assignment. Work through the checks below.
———————————————————————————————————————————————
Check the connection
Make sure the speaker is connected to a network switch, with the cable firmly seated at both ends. A loose connection here is the most common cause of silent speakers.
———————————————————————————————————————————————
Verify power
RoomDesign Ceiling runs on PoE (802.3af) or PoE+ (802.3at). It works on standard PoE and draws more power on PoE+ for full output, so check the speaker is on a PoE-capable port.
If power looks correct but the speaker is still silent, try a different PoE port or another PoE switch.
———————————————————————————————————————————————
Confirm room assignment
If power and connectivity look correct, open RoomHub's web interface and check that the speaker is added to the correct Pleneo Room. Audio only routes to speakers assigned to the active room.

Result
Once the speaker is powered, connected, and assigned to the room, audio plays automatically. If it's still silent, generate a diagnostic report and contact Pleneo Support.
