If a software update is interrupted
What to do if a software update doesn't finish.
Overview
Pleneo software updates are designed to recover safely. If an update is interrupted by loss of power or another reason, the Pleneo device hub will fall back to its working software and keep running. You won't lose the room, and you can try the update again.
If an update is interrupted
If power or the network drops during an update, the hub returns to the software it was running before. Nothing is lost, and the room keeps working. Once the hub is back up, you can run the update again.
If the hub doesn't start normally
If the hub doesn't start up as expected, leave it powered on. After a few restart attempts, it automatically restores its original factory software and returns to the first-time setup experience. From there, you can set the room up and run the update again.
If you still can't update
If the hub won't update after this, generate a diagnostic report and contact Pleneo Support.
In summary
An interrupted update won't leave the hub unusable. It falls back to its working software and keeps running, and you can retry the update. If it doesn't start normally, it restores its factory software automatically after a few attempts. If you still can't update, contact Pleneo Support.
