Fix uneven volume in a Pleneo Room

If a call sounds unstable — volume rising and falling unexpectedly — Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is usually active on a microphone.

Why it happens

Pleneo Room OS already manages audio levels across the full signal path, from microphone input to speaker output.

AGC adds a second layer of adjustment on top of that. Two systems controlling one task create conflict — and that conflict is heard as shifting volume.

What you'll notice

  • Volume that jumps during speech

  • Audio that feels like it's "pumping"

  • Voices that sound uneven or inconsistent

———————————————————————————————————————————————

Fix it

Turn off AGC on the microphone.

Note: AGC is disabled by default in most cases, so no additional setup is required. If you hear uneven volume, this is the first setting to check.

Result

With AGC disabled, volume stays consistent, and speech sounds natural.
