1. Introduction

This document describes the new features, improvements, bug fixes and known issues in the 3.0.0-21 firmware release for the Pleneo device hub.

This release adds support for three more microphones: the Sennheiser TCCM+, Yealink CM50 and Audio-Technica ATND1061. It also improves RoomDesign loudspeaker sound, shortens first-time setup, and includes a security update.

2.1 New microphone support

Each one appears in the Room OS microphone list, works with System Test, shows on the Home screen, and is listed in the installation report.

Sennheiser TCCM+ - Set up the TCCM+ from its own built-in web interface. It doesn’t use Sennheiser Control Cockpit.

Yealink CM50 - Room OS guides you through setup. If the microphone was used before, factory reset it first. The last step sets the CM50 to let RoomHub handle echo cancellation. See Turn off AEC on the Yealink CM50.

Audio-Technica ATND1061 - Room OS configures the microphone for you. No extra setup is needed.

2.2 Microphone LED follows Microsoft Teams

Microphone LEDs now show your Microsoft Teams call state at a glance.

An LED that’s off outside a call is normal. In this release, LED status works with Microsoft Teams. Support for more meeting platforms will follow.

2.3 Better sound from RoomDesign

Warmer, fuller voicing. A new tuned sound profile with stronger low end, especially noticeable on music.

Fuller USB playback. Both channels of USB audio from the meeting PC now play through the room speakers.

New default volume. The default system volume is now 50%.

2.4 Simpler first-time setup

Firmware update first, on one screen. Downloading the firmware is optional, and the update starts as soon as you drop in or upload a valid file.

Clearer guidance. The update screen reminds you to keep the browser open. If you upload the wrong file, it tells you what to do next.

Fewer steps. Two screens have been removed from the setup flow.

2.5 Find Pleneo device hub’s IP address over Bluetooth

During first-time setup, Pleneo device hub now shows its IP address in its Bluetooth name: RH-<last 6 of MAC>-<IP address>. Open the Bluetooth settings on any phone to read it, with no app and no pairing needed. Once setup is complete, the Pleneo device hub switches to its configured name and turns Bluetooth off.

Pleneo device hub already installed. After updating to this release, this is available whenever RoomHub is factory reset.

New Pleneo device hub. Units shipping from mid-November 2026 have it out of the box.

2.6 Other improvements and fixes

System Test - The test sound is now a sine sweep instead of white noise, which works with a wider range of microphones. You’ll notice the test sounds different.

USB name - Pleneo device hub USB device name no longer changes after a firmware update, and macOS now shows the same name for USB input and output.

RoomDesign - RoomDesign no longer shows as offline after System Test.
