2. What's new in Room OS 2.4.1-32

New features in this release

  • Onboarding and password security

2.1 Onboarding and password security

No default username or password: You set your own password the first time you sign in. No username is required. On upgrade, an existing RoomHub keeps its current password.

Password requirements

The requirements are shown as a checklist during setup. The password must be at least 12 characters, with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character.

Change password

The password can be changed at any time after setup.

Forgotten password

A forgotten password requires a factory reset of the device. A factory reset restores RoomHub to default settings and removes the room configuration.

To factory reset RoomHub:
  1. Locate the pinhole button on the bottom left corner of the front panel.

  2. Press and hold the button until the LED blinks red.

  3. Wait 2 minutes for the reset to complete.
