1. Introduction

This document describes the new features, improvements, bug fixes and known issues in the 2.4.1-17 firmware release for Pleneo Room OS.

This is the first Room OS release with AutoDeploy. It covers the full setup flow: you connect the devices, add them to the room, and RoomHub then configures, tests and tunes the system.

2. What's new in Room OS 2.4.1-17

New features in this release

  • AutoDeploy: automatic system deployment

  • Supported speakers and microphones

  • Audio IQ: automatic room tuning

  • Discovery modes: hostname and network scan

2.1 AutoDeploy

AutoDeploy configures, tests and tunes the system after devices have been added. No manual DSP configuration or programming is required.

How it works
  1. Open the RoomHub web interface and give the room a name.

  2. Add your speakers and microphone. RoomHub scans the network and lists matching devices. Select the devices for your room by MAC address. The MAC address is printed on each device and on its packaging.

  3. Run the system test. RoomHub verifies audio paths, microphone functionality and network connections.

  4. Audio IQ measures the room and applies tuning automatically.

  5. Download the system report.

System report

The system report lists every test performed and its result. You can download it from the web interface and use it as handover documentation.

Network requirements
  • Connect both LAN ports on RoomHub. LAN 1 carries power, control and internet. LAN 2 carries the media network.

  • A DHCP server is required on the network.

  • All devices must be on the same network as RoomHub.

2.2 Supported speakers and microphones
Speakers
  • Pleneo Sonia Speaker System

Microphones
  • Sennheiser TCCM

Devices are discovered on the network and added from the setup flow. During setup, you are prompted for the Sennheiser linking password. Before you start, update the microphone to the latest firmware.

2.3 Audio IQ

Audio IQ measures the room response. Room OS compares the measurement against Pleneo's target response for meeting rooms and applies the tuning to the room automatically.

Audio IQ runs as part of the system test in AutoDeploy. Keep the room quiet during measurement.

Supported on:

  • Sennheiser TCCM

2.4 Discovery modes

There are two ways to reach the RoomHub web interface.

Hostname discovery: Browse to https://roomhub-XXXXXX, where XXXXXX is the last six characters of the LAN 1 MAC address. The MAC address is printed on the box and on the underside of the bracket.

Network scan: Use a network scanning tool to find the IP address of RoomHub on the network. Browse to https://<ip-address>.

3. How to check your firmware version
