Pleneo Wins Red Dot Award for Simplifying Complex Meeting Rooms

Award recognises product design that removes friction from deployment and everyday use
Pleneo has announced that its flagship device hub, RoomHub, has been awarded a Red Dot Design Award for product design.
RoomHub was recognised for its clear, purpose-driven design—bringing together industrial and interaction design in a single device built to simplify medium and large meeting spaces.
Designed as the central intelligence layer of the room, RoomHub combines processing, connectivity, and control into one system—reducing the need for complex, multi-component setups. Every element, from its physical form to its software-driven behaviour, is focused on making deployment faster, operation more consistent, and long-term management effortless.
At Pleneo, design is not about appearance—it is how complexity is removed.
“RoomHub is a product where every design decision had a job to do,” said Shaun Robinson, SVP Product, Pleneo. “We set out to reduce effort at every stage—from installation through to daily use. When design is done properly, the system becomes predictable, and the technology fades into the background.”
The Red Dot recognition reflects Pleneo’s commitment to designing products that deliver clarity, consistency, and reliability in real-world environments—where meeting rooms need to work the same way, every time.
The award follows a series of recent recognitions for Pleneo’s approach to intelligent meeting spaces, including inclusion in Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list.
