Optional steps that help a Pleneo Room perform at its most consistent.
Overview
Pleneo Rooms set themselves up automatically. In most rooms, no manual tuning or adjustment is needed. AI AutoDeploy™ adapts to real-world spaces, as long as the devices are connected and detected.
The steps below are optional. They aren't required, but they help the room perform more consistently.
Balance the room
Hard surfaces reflect sound and can make speech harder to follow. Soft materials help voices sound natural.
Where available, consider:
Rugs or carpet tiles
Curtains or fabric blinds
Acoustic wall or ceiling panels
Check the network
A stable network makes setup smooth and audio reliable.
Before setup:
Use managed PoE switches with QoS and IGMP snooping enabled for the audio and video traffic
Coordinate with IT if VLANs or 802.1X are in use
All components run on PoE, so no external power supplies are required.
Keep the room as quiet as possible
A quieter room helps the system measure the space and hear speech more clearly. During AudioIQ tuning, make sure no one is speaking in the room.
Where possible:
Run setup when the room is empty
Turn off fans, HVAC boosts, and projectors
Close doors and windows
The room will still set up and work if this isn't possible. A quiet room with no one speaking simply gives more consistent results.
