Integrating uncertified products

Overview 

RoomHub also supports open Dante™ connectivity. This lets you integrate third-party microphones, speakers, amplifiers, or DSPs (digital signal processors) when you need more flexibility.

Using third-party devices 

RoomHub can connect to any Dante-enabled device.

However, devices that aren't Pleneo-certified haven't been acoustically profiled in Pleneo's lab. Because of this, AI AutoDeploy is disabled when uncertified hardware is used.

In these cases:

• Setup is done manually

• Configuration happens through the RoomHub web interface and Dante Controller (the audio-routing software)

• You gain flexibility and more hands-on control

Manual audio configuration 

When using third-party devices, setup follows a clear manual process.

• Define each Dante input in RoomHub

• Set microphone inputs to get the full AI audio processing

• Line, USB, and Bluetooth inputs use lighter profiles for media playback

Control and integration 

Pleneo-certified devices communicate directly with RoomHub during AI AutoDeploy. This automatically syncs:

• Mute states and LED indicators

• Diagnostics and system health data

• PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera control and tracking

Everything works as one system, with no manual setup or ongoing adjustment.
